This world has been through a few battles of recent times that has shaped the minds of most people, and made them controllable. Covid introduced Fear into the weapons arsenal, greatly increasing the Fear to the point that Society will just do what it is told The final stage, uncertainty. People that live in fear and uncertainty look for a leader. (Revelation 13:16, KJV) One nuclear explosion and the world will go rushing to the man offering peace, and will take the mark.
