I then worked as a legislative assistant for a US Senator for a short period of time. I was a Law Enforcement Officer in Arizona for five years. Following that, I moved back home to Louisiana and became an Elementary Teacher. I taught for 16 years in four different states, and four Louisiana parishes. I hold a life time certification in Pre K through 8th grades, early childhood and gifted education emphasis. I am also highly qualified in all core subjects. I hold an AA in Administration, AS in Police Science, BS In Justice Studies with a minor in Political Science, BA in Education with a minor in History, and a MEd in Curriculum and Instruction with emphasis on gifted education and early childhood.
