They don't deserve to be here if they aren't willing to be Americans. This is the kind of amnesty I'd like to see. A six week moratorium on all I.CE. enforcement. ICE would receive training, equipment and new hires to begin enforcement, 24/7, the day after the moratorium ends. Illegals would have 6 unencumbered weeks to cash out and leave the country, for good, or they could present themselves, and their family members at an ICE facility to sign up for "probationary citizenship. Each one would get a probationary tax i.d. and a probationary social security number. While at the ICE facility, each will fill out a form, showing every current and former employer, phone number, address and business name, and swear these forms are true and correct to the best of their knowledge. Each immigrant will also fill out a sworn statement, stating the program, phone number, address and point of contact the immigrant had, for each benefit received by the immigrant and his family. Each "Probationary U.S. Citizen will take his tax number, etc., to his/her current employer, tell the employer they are now taxpayers, and to expect a visit from ICE. ICE will interview each current/ former employer and determine how much money the immigrant has received. ICE will also interview points of contacts at the benefits programs accessed by the immigrant/s. The total wages paid, and total benefits paid, will be added, multiplied by 2, to cover penalties and fines accrued for years of failing to pay taxes, and theft of government services. The total will be divided by 12, 24, 36, 48, etc, equal payments. The immigrant will pay monthly payments until his "Citizen Debt" is paid, in addition to making regular tax payments on what they are earning while on probation. When the debt is clear, the immigrant will be given a copy of the "Declaration of Independence", " The United States Constitution" and " The Bill of Rights." The immigrant and his family will have 6 months to study for a 100 question citizenship test, with 98% correct being necessary to pass. Three tries, then out they go. If they want the right to stay, make them earn it. All fines and penalties would be put into a "politician safe" account, and paid in equal amounts, on the 15th of April of every year, to each living American, who worked and filed an Income Tax Form the previous year. You know, the people who had the money stolen from them to give the illegals those free rides.
