View More…… And then they’re gone. People come in and out of your life; you get to know them inside out; sometimes you don’t know each other because you didn’t have enough time to share together, but most of the people that have come into your life are loved ones that you would lay down your life to protect, like a spouse, children, grandchildren, siblings, relatives, family members, brothers and sisters in Christ, special friends and people who that you have fought side by side in combat in war; you bonded with these people and became really close, but some have moved far away; you’ve tried to keep in touch, visit each other over the years, but eventually we all get busy, caught up in fast moving society; visits become spread out further and further; phone calls slowly are fewer and fewer, eventually they stop; nobody writes letters anymore because of texting and social media and even cards in the mail stop completely. One day you get a notion in your head to sit down and start calling people that you miss in your life, but you dial the number but nobody answers, phone keeps ringing, sometimes you call a number and the operator says you’ve reached a number that is no longer in service; sometimes you reach someone that says you have the wrong number; then sometimes somebody answers and you find out that that person has died; you start to think in your tired brain asking questions like; why are all these people in your life not there anymore? Spouse, Parents, siblings, relatives, close friends, brothers and sisters; the men and women you served with in the military; that’s when you realize; your not in control of life, you never were, God makes the decision who is going to live and die; it’s according to His plan, not man’s. Some are taken much too easily in your life; some are allowed to remain longer; we keep asking ourselves why? I don’t understand it anymore; I try to think about my friends and I realize, I have very few people that I can call and talk to; not about drama, or negative things, but normal things, positive things, but I don’t have but a few people in my life that I can call, because everyone has their own lives, busy with family, work or social activities. I talk to God, but not as often as I should, but He doesn’t have an audible voice, so I keep asking myself this question; why am I still here in this evil temporal world? What is the race I’m supposed to run? If I didn’t have my ability to write lyrics and music, I don’t know what my purpose is? I write for the glory of God, so the lost souls in this world can possibly hear the gospel message and maybe plant a good seed, so someone hurting inside could call out to Jesus; then the Holy Spirit of God will save their soul. Because of my combat PTSD, I don’t like large crowds, loud noises and confrontation, because of the triggers it brings to my life; even though through my therapy over many years; I’ve learned coping skills and my anxiety, depression, panic attacks and nightmares are getting better and less frequent; there’s always a chance for triggers happening, like the recent death of my close friend JW. He’s gone now and I can’t call him anymore. Death in my life is my stressor because of my combat in the Vietnam War. I’m having a difficult time with the death of JW. (Joseph Williams). Time is so short; we are not promised tomorrow; So give your loved ones a hug, tell them how much you love them, call a loved one, family member, relative, sibling, your children, brother or sister in Christ, a special friend; write a letter or card, send an email, send a text, because one day you will wake up and then they’re gone! Pray for everyone in your life; pray for salvation of the lost souls throughout the entire world. Give God thanks, praise, honor and all the glory for everything and everyone in your life. Lifeline (Song) (Video) I wrote this song and produced this video, because this is part of my testimony in life; when I was hurting and trying to survive in a world that hated me and every Vietnam combat veteran after we came back from hell; nobody knew our struggles, anger or fear; nobody knew how hard it was for us to survive; get through a day; without taking another human life, because that’s what we were trained to do; each day wanting take our own life; but one knew us; our creator God, our Heavenly Father, because He made us. He loved us with unconditional love, because He sent His only begotten Son from Heaven to be the sacrificial lamb, to save us all from eternal damnation and darkness. He found me at my worst and saved me on July 12, 1984, but I still would go on struggling and then He threw me a “Lifeline “. I know many of you have been there. What Kind Of Man I wrote this song because I have combat PTSD from 18 months of my service time in the Vietnam War. I lost my childhood memories due to traumatic combat; I can’t remember my childhood, teenage years and high school days; family pictures show me some pieces of the puzzle, but prior to my combat days; I only have bits and pieces; I’ve been very frustrated over the years, trying to piece little memories together, here and there. This song also relates to dementia patients and short term memory loss for amnesia victims, with whatever they are dealing with in life. The important thing is that no matter what has happened in our lives, we need to move forward and not worry about the past. I pray this song and video will be a blessing to you all.
