Arcata police have issued a verbal trespass notice to Robin Brooks, a homeless elder with mobility challenges (can’t walk without crutches) as the Great Redwood Trail Agency reclaims a nearby lot with the help of APD and John Shelter’s clean-up crew, The People of New Directions. Her deadline to vacate is unclear, and her written request for “reasonable ADA accommodations” has not been responded to by the City of Arcata. When asked for feedback on the City’s response to this ASA request, City Manager Merritt Perry declined to comment, but did confirm receipt of the written request on Robin Brooks’ behalf.WAREHOUSE TRESPASS NEWS: https://kymkemp.com/2026/01/22/after-warehouse-tent-fire-police-clear-soilscape-homeless-encampment-at-property-owners-request/EARLIER REPORTING: https://kymkemp.com/2025/10/22/arcatas-largest-homeless-camp-the-forty-cleared-with-help-of-apd/ Community support: https://gofund.me/76449d43b *This video contains music from Shutterstock, licensed by Splice video editing app.
