I know for a fact we have the Hydrogen carburation tech today. Have had it since at least the 80s. This push for EVs is not to save the planet, they know damn well it cause more harm than "fossil fuels" (a made up term, I might add). It's all about "control". And belive it or not, I used to have a little homemade hydrogen generator in my exes minivan. It actually worked very well when doing short runs or around town.
