Really not sure why he shot the woman instead of the dude kicking the woman on the ground. I would have shot once in the air, told everybody to get the fuck on the ground. Anyone not on the ground might then have gotten some holes punched into them to let some of the stupid drain out.

First, you don't fire a warning shot. That would be against policy. Second, the immediate threat is the knife about to be plunged into someone. Yes, the guy should've gotten his ass kicked for what he did, but she needed to be dealt with right then and there.
