Dear
@erinotoole
,
You, along with every other Conservative MP, waived through Bill C-4 unanimously.
You voted to criminalize anyone, including a child’s own parents (!) if they refuse to transition their child.
You, and
@PierrePoilievre
, voted to make it a crime, punishable “by imprisonment for a term of not more than five years” if parents try to change their child’s “gender identity to c*sgender.”
C*sgender? Frankly, you should all be fired for even using that word in legislation.
You’re using the language of a cult which teaches children they need to change their bodies and become sterilized, anorgasmic, lifelong pharmaceutical patients.
According to this law, It’s totally fine for an abusive parent to indoctrinate their perfectly healthy girl or boy into believing they were born wrong!
But it’s a crime for fantastic parents to work to undo the damage that gender ideology has done to their child.
It is a crime for a parent to reject child transition, and to work to help their child feel comfortable with his or her body.
This was all done under your ‘leadership.’
Do you have any idea the fear you have placed in Canadian parents who are trying to protect their kids?
Do you have any idea how difficult it is to find a sane therapist who will treat these kids honestly, and not affirm the abusive lie that they are born in the wrong body?
Yes, you do know, because we the people who are actually fighting for kids, fighting for truth, and fighting for common sense, have been telling you for years!
I will see to it that every Canadian knows exactly where the Conservative Party stands on child transition.
And when you all finally eat humble pie and find some courage to stand up to this child abuse, I’ll happily work with any of you to put proper legislation into place to protect kids.

Replying to @BillboardChris
I spoke in the HoC on the need to end coercive practices while not criminalizing parents or clergy as you wrongly claim above. The truth doesn’t seem to fit your narrative and that appears very similar to the divisive approach of the Liberals that I called out in the speech.

PRESS RELEASE
BERNIER DENOUNCES RIGGED PROCESS TO EXCLUDE HIM FROM LEADERS’ DEBATES
Tuesday, March 25, 2025
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Ottawa, ON – The leader of the People’s Party of Canada, Maxime Bernier, today addressed what he describes as the “phony process” set up by the Leaders’ Debates Commission to exclude him from the debates. He was holding a press conference devoted to discussing mass immigration at the border with Maine in Saint-Theophile, QC, at the southern tip of his Beauce riding.
Bernier referred to a TV report about his campaign launch aired last night on Radio-Canada’s Le Téléjournal, in which the host Céline Galipeau described him as “a leader who won’t be at the debates, Maxime Bernier” (our translation).
The clip can be viewed here on his X account: https://x.com/MaximeBernier/status/1904532215859487087
“How is it possible that Ms. Galipeau know this already? I think I have the answer. Radio-Canada/CBC will produce the debates, so they’re talking to the Commission, and I presume everybody there already knows that I won’t be invited. And she spilled the beans live on TV, probably unintentionally.”
The PPC has been invited to send a representative to a preparation meeting at La Maison Radio-Canada in Montreal next Monday, March 31st, one day before the Commission announces its decision on Mr. Bernier’s participation. But the party will not waste precious time during an extremely busy campaign to play this silly game and legitimize the Commission’s phony process. “The dice are loaded,” says the PPC leader.
“Under the 2021 rules, I would automatically have been invited, because the PPC received almost 5% of the vote in the last election. But it’s obvious that the Commission changed the rules only to exclude us,” concluded the PPC leader.
