1 Chronicles 23:30 states, "And to stand every morning to thank and praise the Lord, and likewise at evening."
When King David “was old and full of days, he made Solomon his son king over Israel” (1 Chronicles 23:1). During the coronation of Solomon, David gathered all the princes and priests and Levites together to remind them all that the work and worship of the LORD must carry on. Onward for the LORD was the theme of his message that day. Our verse was just a part of King David’s instructions to the Levites. David instructed them to make sure that every morning you stand and thank and praise the LORD. Likewise, at even! Or, in other words do the same every evening. Every morning and every evening the Levites were to stand and thank and praise the LORD!
The LORD our God is worthy of our thanksgiving and praise!
Morning and evening for sure, but also throughout each day we should be ready to give God thanks and praise for His wonderful works among us! Our worship of our Lord begins with thanksgiving and praise unto Him. May our hearts be filled with praise and gratitude and easily provoke us to worship our Lord!
He is worthy!
