Anywho, I wanted to keep everyone updated on things regarding this project/band /ministry/ whatever.....
I've been dealing poorly with a ton of distractions over most of the time I've been doing this project....including trying to find the "perfect " name, sound, logo, etc. During the course of working through these distractions I think I have figured out what all I've been doing wrong..... I've spent too much time and effort trying to be someone and something I'm not...
I've spent over a decade trying to learn fingerstyle ( "three finger pluck " , " double thump " , and others) for the purpose of making and playing music that I'm not really called to make or play. I realize now that I'm not ever going to be the next Alex Webster or the next Mike Flores or even the next Steve Harris or Cliff Burton. I started playing with a pick and honestly I believe I'm a better musician using one....I'm not a "tech- death " musician and never really will be....I'm good with that at this point, and I think that it will ultimately work out for the best for what I believe God wants for my stewardship of this project Hellfire Denied. I actually have a more concise way of describing what it is that I plan for this stuff -
