I’m getting a late start. Ever have one of those nights where you’re restless, wake up early and can’t get back to sleep. Well that was me last night. I had a lot on my mind, thoughts that seemed to take hold and wouldn’t let go. After a while I started to pray and I heard the Lord speak to my heart “rest in Me, rest” although that calmed my thoughts too much time had passed and I got up. Eventually I slept an additional 2-3 hours. When I got up, got my coffee and sat at the table, I felt urged to go to Acts 2. It was here in verses 25-26 that I read words just for me. I pray these words, if you’re struggling in any way will give you what they gave me... Peace!

I woke up earlier than usual and got my coffee, sat down at my kitchen table as is my daily habit to read a devotion and pray. I even went back and read some of the previous devotions and I came across one that dealt with a young man in Belize that needed glasses. When he finally got them he left the clinic with a new perspective of the world around him. And I thought about my own child who could see close up but not far away. I never knew she needed glasses because she could read and see everything in her classroom. But we got her eyes checked in her later teen years and come to find out she couldn’t see long distance. The day we picked up her glasses, it opened up a whole new distant world. Like the young man who left the clinic saying hello bush, hello big tree, hello this, hello that. My daughter said oh my gosh mom there’s a house on the top of that hill. Oh wow, I see that house down in the valley. The world opened up to her and she saw things she’d never seen before.

I pray that God shows you things you have never seen before, I pray like what God did for Elisha in 2 Kings, He will do for you. Whether in the physical or spiritual realm, I pray you receive from God a new fresh vision, perspective for your life.
