Jesus answered, Neither hath this man sinned, nor his parents: but that the works of God should be made manifest in him.~ John 9:3 The man born blind was assumed, based on Jewish tradition, to have been born that way because of a specific sin of his mother or father. But it was not so. Sin is the cause of all misery in the world generally, but not the cause of every specific ailment as such. God allowed this man to be born blind that Jesus might heal him and show forth his power.Lord, we know that all of us were born spiritually blind and that by Your power alone can such blindness be healed. Until You heal our blindness, we cannot see the spiritual truth and appreciate it. But now You have revealed Yourself to us through Your Word.
