19. Surely thou wilt slay the wicked, O God: depart from me therefore ye bloody men.
20. For they speak against thee wickedly, and thine enemies takes thy name in vain.
21. Do not I hate them, O LORD, that hate thee? and am not I grieved with those that rise up against thee?
22. I hate them with perfect hatred: I count them my enemies.
23. Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts:
24. And see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.
Psalm 140:19-24??
The enemies of God, have but one end, destruction.
They speak against Him, but they have no power to remove His authority, His presence, His judgments.
The psalmist, shows, the friend of God, puts a separation, between, himself, and the world.
Those who have accepted salvation, covered in the blood of Christ, can no longer, claim, allegiance, to a world, bent on destruction.
The psalmist, instructs, how to stay on the path of eternal life, by seeking God, confessing our faults, have the Lord, remove the wickedness, we have learned, and practiced.
And following Christ, whose way, is Life. AMEN.
