TWENTY FIVE years ago today, our country was attacked by a group of radical Islamic terrorists. These cowards took the lives of >2,996 people, injured over 6,000, and shattered our sense of safety and security on American soil. Victims are still dying for the lingering effects of heart and lung disease because of what these demons have done. TWENTY FIVE years later our country is still at war with radical Islamic terrorists, and we have lost nearly 7,000 of our bravest in this battle. Despite the enormous costs in blood and treasure, most Americans do not feel any safer today than they did prior to 9/11. In fact, the world seems to have grown only more dangerous, more chaotic, and more hostile to the cause of freedom.
