Have you ever noticed this amazing connection in Scripture?
Moses asked God for two things.
1️⃣ He wanted to see God's glory.
God told him:
"Thou canst not see my face: for there shall no man see me, and live." (Exodus 33:20)
God allowed Moses to see His back, but not His face.
2️⃣ Moses wanted to enter the Promised Land.
Because of his disobedience, God would not allow him to enter. Moses could only look at it from a distance.
But then we fast-forward to the Transfiguration of Jesus.
There stands Moses.
Jesus' face shines with heavenly glory. His appearance is transformed before them. And Moses is standing there in the Promised Land itself.
The man who could not see God's face is now beholding the glory of Christ.
The man who could not enter the Promised Land is now standing in it.
What a beautiful reminder that God's "No" is sometimes only a "Not Yet."
What we think is a closed door may simply be God preparing a greater fulfillment than we can presently understand.
The faithfulness of God reaches far beyond our disappointments, our failures, and even beyond this life.
The Bible truly is a masterpiece. ✝️
