Sen. Ron Wyden reacted to House Speaker Mike Johnson stating that Medicare, Medicaid and Social Security together making up over 74 percent of federal autopilot spending would need to be adjusted and fixed next year amid a national debt exceeding $40 trillion. Wyden warned that Republicans are targeting key entitlement programs, saying that after cutting $1 trillion from Medicaid, they are now coming for Social Security and Medicare.
