MINNEAPOLIS, MN —
In a heroic display of moral clarity and unshakeable commitment to “equity,” Minnesota Democrats on Thursday voted to reject a Republican amendment that would have banned state business loans to anyone convicted of fraud — just 48 hours after the FBI raided the legendary Quality Learing Center and 21 other suspiciously empty “daycares” as part of a massive Medicaid scam probe.
“While the so-called ‘feds’ were busy harassing hardworking Minnesotans over a few missing children and some creative billing practices, we were busy protecting the real victims: the innovative childcare entrepreneurs who misspelled ‘Learning’ on their sign in the most relatable way possible,” said Governor Tim Walz, looking appropriately shocked in a photo that mysteriously appeared in every media outlet.
The Quality Learning Center, which somehow received millions in taxpayer funds despite operating as a glorified storage unit with zero actual kids and a door that read “KELLIE NICOLET SUITE,” had already shuttered in January after conservative YouTuber Nick Shirley exposed the whole grift. But Democrats insisted that one little federal raid shouldn’t get in the way of continuing to fund similar “learning centers” across the state.
“Raids are just Trump’s way of dividing us,” added one Democratic legislator, adjusting his ‘Defund the Evidence’ lapel pin. “If we stop funding empty buildings, how will our Somali community partners ever afford their second vacation homes? This is about values, not facts.”
At press time, TDS News confirmed that any suggestion the Democrats might be soft on fraud was “literally fascism” and demanded another $342 million in autism services funding immediately — just to be safe.
