MINNEAPOLIS, MN — In a heroic display of moral clarity and unshakeable commitment to “equity,” Minnesota Democrats on Thursday voted to reject a Republican amendment that would have banned state business loans to anyone convicted of fraud — just 48 hours after the FBI raided the legendary Quality Learing Center and 21 other suspiciously empty “daycares” as part of a massive Medicaid scam probe. “While the so-called ‘feds’ were busy harassing hardworking Minnesotans over a few missing children and some creative billing practices, we were busy protecting the real victims: the innovative childcare entrepreneurs who misspelled ‘Learning’ on their sign in the most relatable way possible,” said Governor Tim Walz, looking appropriately shocked in a photo that mysteriously appeared in every media outlet.
