JESUS — It Doesn’t End at the Empty TombHebrews 13:8 “Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.”Many stop the story at the resurrection. They celebrate the manger. They admire His teaching. They acknowledge the cross. They even rejoice in the empty tomb.But then—they stop.That’s where the world gets it wrong.The life of Jesus Christ is not a completed story in the past—it is a continuing reality moving toward a final, undeniable event. Yes, He was born as a baby—God manifest in the flesh - (1 Timothy 3:16). Yes, He preached truth that cut against sin and exposed the heart -- (John 7:46). Yes, He was killed as a man—the Lamb of God taking away the sin of the world -- (John 1:29). Yes, He arose as a victor—death could not hold Him -- (Acts 2:24).But hear it plain:The resurrection was not the end—it was the proof that what He said about the future WILL happen.Acts 1:11 “…this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.”He is coming back. Not as a baby. Not to be rejected. Not to be crucified again.He is coming back as a King.Revelation 19:16 “And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.” The first time He came in humility. The second time He comes in authority. The first time men mocked Him. The second time every knee shall bow (Philippians 2:10). The first time He stood before sinful men to be judged. The second time He will be the Judge (Acts 17:31).This is where it gets serious: A risen Saviour means hope…But a returning King means accountability.You are not just looking back at what He did—You are heading toward a day when you will stand before Him.2 Corinthians 5:10 “For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ…”So the question isn’t just: 👉 Do you believe He rose?The real question is: 👉 Are you ready for when He returns?Don’t settle for a “resurrection-only” Christianity that celebrates victory but ignores His authority.The same Jesus who walked out of that tomb…is coming back to rule.Be ready.
