Complete Satisfaction!Psalms 107:8-9 “Oh that men would praise the LORD for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men! For he satisfieth the longing soul, and filleth the hungry soul with goodness.” Something that is seen in the hearts of many people is the need to find something or someone who will satisfy the emptiness within. The world has no answer. What some people think is love but is lust, is not the answer. Prosperity, prominence, and popularity does not fulfill the need of the empty feeling. As a young man I was looking for two things, identity and purpose for life. Who am I and where is my place in this world. In Jesus Christ I have both, my identity is I am a Christian and my purpose is to glorify God with the life He has given me. Beyond Jesus Christ and living for Him there is no satisfaction. “Oh that men would praise the LORD… For He satisfieth the longing soul, and filleth the hungry soul with goodness”!! In 1875 Clara T. Williams wrote the great hymn - Satisfied. The second stanza reflects on the life of the prodigal son. “Feeding on the husks around me till my strength was almost gone, longed my soul for something better, only still to hunger on. Hallelujah! I have found Him- whom my soul so long has craved! Jesus satisfies my longings; through His blood I now am saved”. Are you satisfied?
