IRGC Forces Flee as Iran’s Largest Tunnel Network Collapses — Tehran Faces Mounting Pressure
Iran’s military infrastructure has suffered major damage after a wave of airstrikes targeted the country’s vast underground missile facilities, often referred to as “missile cities.” These tunnel networks were built by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) to hide missiles, drones, and command centers deep underground.
Recent strikes by the United States and Israel focused on destroying entrances, launch ramps, and support facilities connected to these underground bases. Some reports say parts of the tunnel complexes were heavily damaged or sealed, trapping equipment and munitions inside.
One of the most dramatic operations targeted a massive underground bunker in Tehran that had been used by senior Iranian leadership. Dozens of aircraft reportedly bombed the complex, which stretched beneath several city blocks and contained command rooms and security shelters for top officials.
Military analysts say the strikes were designed to cripple Iran’s missile-launch capabilities and command networks. Satellite imagery suggests many launch sites and underground storage areas have been severely damaged, reducing Iran’s ability to launch large waves of missiles.
The attacks come during a period of extreme instability for Iran’s leadership. The assassination of Ali Khamenei earlier in the conflict created a major power vacuum, forcing Iranian officials to reorganize the country’s leadership structure.
Despite the damage, experts warn that Iran still retains missiles, drones, and regional allies capable of continuing the fight. While the strikes have weakened key military infrastructure, the situation inside Iran remains volatile and unpredictable as the conflict continues to escalate across the Middle East. ⚡🌍
