The U.S. Census Bureau finds that 89% of Minnesota Somali immigrant households with children receive welfare. Tim Walz and Ilhan Omar say this isn’t a problem. That if people need help, our government should help them, whether they were born in America or not.
For comparison, the report says about 21% of native-born households in Minnesota use welfare programs.
