James 1:15 “Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.”LUST:Many people believe they can play around with sin and remain in control. But the Bible shows a progression. Lust conceives, sin is born, and if it continues unchecked it ends in death.Sin never stands alone. One sin invites another until the heart becomes so familiar with sin that it no longer recognizes its own sinfulness.What began as a small compromise slowly grows into a pattern. A lie becomes deceit. Deceit becomes deeper sin. Before long, a person pushes through life knocking down one sin after another, forgetting that it all began with that first compromise.When a person becomes comfortable with sin—or begins excusing it—repentance disappears. And where repentance is absent, spiritual life cannot flourish.Death is the final fruit of a life that refuses to see sin the way God sees it.
