Romans 12:2 “And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.”CONFORMED or TRANSFORMED? Conformed means pressed into the mold of this world. Transformed means changed from the inside out.You don’t have to wonder which one you are. Your day-to-day thoughts reveal it. What occupies your mind when no one is watching? Your day-to-day speech reveals it. What flows out of your mouth when pressure comes? Your day-to-day actions reveal it. How do you respond when tempted, offended, or inconvenienced? Transformation does not begin with behavior modification. It begins with mind renewal. The world works from the outside in. God works from the inside out. When your mind is renewed by Scripture, your thinking changes. When your thinking changes, your speech changes. When your speech changes, your walk changes. A transformed life does not blend in. It stands out.You cannot think like the world all week and walk in the will of God on Sunday.If there is no difference in how you think, speak, and live, then there has been no transformation. The question is not what church you attend. The question is: Has your mind been renewed?Conformed or transformed?
