TDS NewsWASHINGTON, D.C.—Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) issued a blistering statement Tuesday condemning President Trump’s “cowardly and unprovoked” strike that finally eliminated Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, calling it “a devastating blow to global peace and dialogue.”“For half a century, he’s been racing to build a nuclear bomb while screaming ‘Death to America’—and you’re outraged that Trump finally took him out? Yeah, that adds up,” Omar fumed, apparently reading from the wrong side of the teleprompter before correcting herself. “I mean, how dare he remove a man who was only slaughtering his own people and funding terrorism as a hobby!”Omar, whose own public record includes calling America “the greatest purveyor of evil” and cozying up to every anti-Western regime from Tehran to Mogadishu, added that the loss felt personal. “We had so much in common—same chants, same dreams of a caliphate, same burning hatred for the Stars and Stripes. This is Islamophobia, plain and simple.”At press time, Omar was reportedly lighting candles at a makeshift shrine featuring Khamenei’s portrait and a “Death to America” banner, whispering, “You were like the father I never had… in Minnesota.”Reported by Mike Hunt. -TDS News
