Don’t Come to This Country — That’s what retired Navy Captain Hung Cao, now serving as Under Secretary of the Navy under President Donald Trump, said in a powerful message about immigration and responsibility. “Don’t come to this country and ask for the American DREAM if you’re not willing to obey the American LAWS and embrace the American CULTURE!” Cao speaks from personal experience. His family fled communism in 1975. They arrived in America with nothing. They asked for nothing. He went on to serve 25 years in the U.S. Navy, ran for U.S. Senate in Virginia in 2024, and now holds a key leadership role at the Pentagon. He also reminded the audience: “We came to this country with NOTHING. We asked nothing from this country… together, we will make America great again!” His message is simple: opportunity comes with responsibility.
