Even So, Come, Lord JesusRevelation 22:20-21“He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.”The last words of our Lord to the church were a promise, “Surely I come quickly.” The apostle John’s response was one I can very much relate with, “Even so, come, Lord Jesus”.Wouldn’t it be nice if today were the day?!We term the return of Jesus Christ the blessed hope of the church. One day our blessed hope will be a blessed reality.1 John 3:2“Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.”The thought of Heaven and seeing Jesus Christ gives motivation that one day things will not be as they are presently. The assurance that I will see Him and know that He will right all that is wrong in this world is a comforting truth when one is reading the current events. The first phase of the Second Coming of Christ is what we call the rapture of the Church (1 Thessalonians 4:13-18; Revelation 4:1, 2). One day the trump of God will sound, the dead in Christ will rise from their graves and we who are saved which are alive here will be there with our Lord. Together we will be with the Lord! Oh how good it is to know that you are saved! To know that one day Jesus will come for me!
