Acts 4:12 “Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.”Religion has filled buildings, created traditions, and shaped cultures for thousands of years — but religion has never saved a single soul.In Jesus’ day, the most religious people were the Pharisees. They knew Scripture, kept ceremonies, and appeared righteous before men. Yet many of them rejected the very Saviour standing in front of them. Why?Because religion focuses on what man does, while salvation depends entirely on what Christ has already done. Church attendance cannot save. Baptism cannot save. Good works cannot save. Being raised in a Christian home cannot save. Salvation is not found in a system — it is found in a Person.Jesus Christ went to the cross, shed His blood for sin, was buried, and rose again the third day. Salvation is received when a sinner stops trusting religion and places faith in the finished work of Christ alone. The Bible makes it plain: Ephesians 2:8–9 - “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.” Many are religious… but still lost. The question is not, “Are you religious?” The question is, “Have you been saved by Jesus Christ?” Only Jesus saves.
