And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.”The person who lives for this world does so through the lust of their flesh, the lust of their eyes, and their pride. But one day this world will completely fail them.What then?The peace and happiness one thinks they have in the world will one day pass way because this world cannot ever give lasting peace and joy. The peace and joy that God gives is eternal as God is eternal. That is why he or she that sets their life to do the will of God will find lasting peace and joy through God. The greatest and happiest day of my life was when I stopped living for self and started out living for God.Who are you living for, self, the world, or God?
