What even moderate conservatives need to begin understanding is that we were always considered the bad guys and absolutely no amount of acting nice will change that. This is the left wing tactic that's as old as time: Make up a set of rules for your opponent to follow, call your opponent evil, then confirm to yourself and bystanders that they are evil when they break one of your rules. Conservatives condemning the "violent terrorism" are accomplishing absolutely nothing.
