The Proof Of Evil Spirits1 John 4:1-3“Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world. Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God: And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.”Not too long ago I was discussing these verses with someone else. We were talking about how it is very well possible that the Antichrist is presently living in the world. Obviously no one would know who he is, so there is no need of speculation who he may be. But note that God tells us that there are false prophets and the spirit of antichrist is already in the world.1 John 2:18 states,“Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time.”Here we see that there are “many antichrists” presently in the world. The word “antichrist” means an adversary or opponent of Christ. That evil spirit is easy for us to see as the spirit of antichrist is among us in the world. When we have question about such we are told to “try the spirits” to see “whether they are of God”. The Bible is our only resource in which we are to try those spirits. If it does not align with Scripture you know it is false.We live in an evil world, that is headed by the spirit of antichrist. The best safety one can find to escape that evil is through being saved.Do you know Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour?
