You Cannot Fix the UnwillingThere is a hard truth many believers must learn: you cannot force repentance into a heart that refuses it. Proverbs 23:9 says, “Speak not in the ears of a fool: for he will despise the wisdom of thy words.”God never commanded you to rescue someone who rejects correction. He told you to speak truth — not to drag people into obedience. When a person loves their sin more than wisdom, they will resent the one who warns them.Some people do not want help. They want validation. You can pray for them. You can warn them. You can love them. But you cannot repent for them.Even our Lord did not chase those who walked away. The Bible says: John 6:66–67 “From that time many of his disciples went back, and walked no more with him. Then said Jesus unto the twelve, Will ye also go away?”He did not compromise the truth to keep a crowd.Do not ruin your peace trying to save someone determined to drown in their own choices. Speak truth. Stand firm. Leave the results with God.
