The #1 Tactic Of Satan
Genesis 3:1
“Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?”
The first tactic that Satan likes to use is to plant the seed of doubt within a heart. This is exactly what he did when he said unto Eve, “Yea, hath God said…”.
In Genesis 2:16-17 we read “And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat: But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.”
God said that the man could eat of every tree of the garden but He also said
“of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it…”
The command was given, the boundary was made, the law was set. Satan’s planting of the seed of doubt in Eve’s heart was a move of deception.
Satan’s ways have not changed.
2 Timothy 3:13 “But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.”
Behind all this “deceiving, and being deceived” is Satan.
The questions he poses before mankind is; Does God exist?
Is the Bible really God’s Word?
Did God really say…?
A warning is given in the Bible.
2 Peter 3:17 “Ye therefore, beloved, seeing ye know these things before, beware lest ye also, being led away with the error of the wicked, fall from your own stedfastness.”
Adam and Eve knew “before” what God had said. They were “led away”from the truth by Satans deceptive ways. The warning to us is “beware lest ye also…” be “led away”.
