The movie Jurassic Park used the premise that mosquitoes bit dinosaurs so they could get "dino DNA." I didn't think a mosquito could draw blood from the skin of a reptile, but I was wrong. Here are photos of a mosquito drawing blood from a snake and a snake covered with ticks.

Cool fact ,many dinosaur species were more closely related to modern day birds rather than reptiles.
All of this is a fascinating subject of study and as time goes on more and more is learned about prehistoric species.
