John 17:17 “Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.”TRUTH is not found within yourself, even though you may possess fragments of it.Truth is not found in a denomination, even when it claims to preach the “whole truth,” yet remains silent on hell, sin, abortion, and the many sexual sins that abound in our nation.Truth is not found in any political party, though it may at times speak partial truths.Truth is not found in science, though it can accurately describe aspects of God’s creation.Truth is not found in human philosophy, even when it sounds wise and persuasive.Today, it is common to take favored portions of truth from self, religion, politics, science, and philosophy, blend them together, and call the result “my truth.” What is produced is not biblical faith, but a man-made religion—absent of God’s truth and filled with self-deception.When you stand before God on the day of judgment, your truth will carry no weight. The opinions of political parties, scientific journals, and philosophical writings will be worthless. Only God’s Word will stand.So the question is not whether you have a truth, but whether you have God’s truth.Have you submitted to the truth of His Word—or are you still confused by the many voices that falsely claim to be truth?
