This is according to the New York Times, which examined more than 3 million files released by the U.S. Department of Justice. The New York Times points out that a significant portion of these documents consists of news articles and other publicly available material sent to Epstein's email account. They contain no direct communication between Trump and Epstein, and only a small part of the files dates back to the early 2000s, when they maintained personal contact. The published material also does not contain evidence of any wrongdoing by the current U.S. president. However, the documents show that even after communication ceased, Epstein continued to monitor Trump's life and, in particular, took an interest in his political rise, trying to exploit it for his own benefit.
