So he tells NPR he expects to see the CIA reverse itself and conclude that Vladimir Putin tried to help Donald Trump. The problem is, the CIA hadn’t really even started the work—it had just gotten going. He was so embarrassed that he came back later and tried to walk it back a little bit, saying they still wanted to see where it goes.
