A Will For God’s Will To Be DonePhilippians 2:13“For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.”So often I have heard someone say in regard to God and His will, I have even said it myself, “Thy will be done”. Hopefully that is never a saying that comes out of our mouth because we know there is nothing we can do to change the outcome. The Christian should have a dedicated resolve to the priority that nothing better can happen in our life than the will of God. Shouldn’t we pray, “God work in me to will and do thy good pleasure”? Tell me something that is better for your life or mine than the will of God to be done. God says in Isaiah 55:8-9 “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.” His will and way is higher than anything we could ever want for our life. We must understand that what God wills and what we think we want may not be the same.Are we resolved, are we willed for His will to be done?The acceptance of God’s will for our life definitely takes faith, but sometimes along with faith it takes a resolve on our part to submit our life allowing it to take place.
