I decided my young male Coastal Carpet python would get the honor to upgrade to the new tank. He was in his hide so I just put my hand over the opening and placed in in the new terrarium. He was a bit hesitant at first and just poked his head out of the hide, but after a few hours he was climbing all over the place.
