Where as I'm not overly fond of "shock/bark" collars, except in extreme cases, working with larger breeds (shepards, huskies, rottweilers ect). Leash training and "heal" commands are a bit easier with the right training collar. 100+ pounds on 4 legs can really pull hard on a leash. Used up high right behind the head with a "gentle" up or back motion and a firm command of "HEAL". This one can be found at most pet centers for a fair price. Yes its human an non-harmful, nor is it sharp or painful to the dog.

I forgot to mention that I recommend it only for training or during work. Best if removed when dog is on off duty hours.

Sandra Pattillo, why the angry face ? It's plastic an will not harm the dog. My wifes dog is a big baby but still a very tall an powerful beast. Even if he isn't trying to be disobedient he still can be a hand full when her condition is flared up.
