𝐓𝐀𝐋𝐊 𝐀𝐁𝐎𝐔𝐓 𝐄𝐗𝐓𝐑𝐄𝐌𝐄 𝐑𝐀𝐍𝐃𝐎𝐌𝐍𝐄𝐒𝐒 — 𝐓𝐇𝐈𝐒 𝐈𝐒 𝐖𝐇𝐄𝐑𝐄 𝐖𝐄 𝐀𝐑𝐄 𝐍𝐎𝐖 ⁣⁠⠀⁣⁠⠀⁣⁠⠀ A man is walking his dog in Washington State. Not protesting. Not arguing. Not bothering anyone. Just walking his dog. A complete lunatic walks up and asks him one question: 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐫𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮? The man answers: 𝐂𝐡𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐚𝐧. And that’s when the lunatic pulls a knife and starts stabbing — 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐦𝐚𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐝𝐨𝐠. ⁣⁠Let that sink in. This wasn’t random crime. This wasn’t a robbery. This wasn’t drugs gone sideways. This was 𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐠𝐞𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐫𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐢𝐨𝐮𝐬 𝐯𝐢𝐨𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 in broad daylight. ⁣⁠𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘷𝘪𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘮 𝘵𝘰𝘭𝘥 𝘰𝘧𝘧𝘪𝘤𝘦𝘳𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘴𝘶𝘴𝘱𝘦𝘤𝘵 𝘢𝘴𝘬𝘦𝘥 𝘸𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘳𝘦𝘭𝘪𝘨𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘩𝘦 𝘸𝘢𝘴, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘸𝘩𝘦𝘯 𝘩𝘦 𝘴𝘢𝘪𝘥 𝘩𝘦 𝘸𝘢𝘴 𝘢 𝘊𝘩𝘳𝘪𝘴𝘵𝘪𝘢𝘯, 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘴𝘶𝘴𝘱𝘦𝘤𝘵 𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘣𝘣𝘦𝘥 𝘩𝘪𝘮 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘥𝘰𝘨. ⁣⁠⠀⁣⁠⠀⁣⁠⠀ Both were rushed to the hospital in serious condition. The dog had to be taken into 𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐫𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐲 𝐬𝐮𝐫𝐠𝐞𝐫𝐲. Meanwhile, the suspect fled and hid for hours. ⁣⁠Deputies finally tracked him down later that morning — armed with 𝐦𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐢𝐩𝐥𝐞 𝐤𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐬. And here’s the part that always gets rewritten by activists later. The suspect didn’t surrender. He 𝐯𝐢𝐨𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐥𝐲 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐚𝐫𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐭, made movements toward deputies, and was shot. He was later pronounced 𝐤𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐝 at the hospital. ⁣⁠𝘖𝘧𝘧𝘪𝘤𝘦𝘳𝘴 𝘴𝘢𝘺 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘴𝘶𝘴𝘱𝘦𝘤𝘵 𝘸𝘢𝘴 𝘳𝘦𝘴𝘪𝘴𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘢𝘳𝘳𝘦𝘴𝘵 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘮𝘢𝘥𝘦 𝘮𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘴 𝘵𝘰𝘸𝘢𝘳𝘥 𝘥𝘦𝘱𝘶𝘵𝘪𝘦𝘴. ⁣⁠⠀⁣⁠⠀⁣⁠⠀ This is the country we’re living in now. You can be attacked for 𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐰𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚 𝐪𝐮𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧. You can be stabbed for 𝐛𝐞𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐂𝐡𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐚𝐧. And the media will bury the motive while holding candlelight vigils for the criminal if police are forced to stop him. ⁣⁠Prayers up for the victim and his dog.
