Intoxication of the body leads to numbness of the soul.No amount of sex, alcohol, or substances can satisfy the void God placed in man. That emptiness is not a defect—it is a reminder that we were made for Him. “In thy presence is fulness of joy” (Psalm 16:11). Anything else is a counterfeit.The command is clear: resist, stay sober, stand firm in the faith. The Christian life is not about chasing pleasure, but walking in truth. Only Christ satisfies. Everything else consumes.
