Remember when people were called “conspiracy theorists” for suggesting COVID was being used to see how far governments could go and how much the public would accept? About that...
A document published by the World Economic Forum openly describes the COVID-19 pandemic as a real-world “test of social responsibility,” pointing to mass compliance with lockdowns, mask mandates, vaccination campaigns, and digital contact-tracing as proof that billions of people will accept sweeping behavioral restrictions when framed as necessary for the collective good.
The language appears in a WEF paper tied to “My Carbon” initiatives and future sustainability policy, where the pandemic is cited as evidence that large-scale behavior modification, paired with digital monitoring tools, can work across cultures and countries.
In plain English, the Forum is arguing that COVID settled a long-running debate among policymakers: people will dramatically alter how they live, move, and interact if authorities justify it as a moral obligation for society.
We've been pointing this out since 2020.
