Commandments for Believers:Do not neglect being around other Christians, especially in a place of worship..Jesus attended a place of worship: “And when he was departed thence, he went into their synagogue:” Matthew 12:9 A Christian is to be “Christ-like,” so one needs to do what Christ did, and that included attending organized worship at a particular place.“And they went into Capernaum; and straightway on the sabbath day he entered into the synagogue, and taught.” Mark 1:21 Also: Luke 4:16, Acts 13:14.“Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.” Hebrews 10:25 Assembling: “a complete collection, especially a Christian meeting for worship.” Attend a place of worship with other believers as it encourages a Christan to be around one’s own kind and to hear more about God’s truths from His word and what He isdoing in other’s lives.“And they continued stedfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers.” Acts 2:42 Stedfast: “constantly diligent, to attend all exercises, to attend continually.” Fellowship: “meeting with other people.”“And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart,” Acts 2:46“And when they were come in, they went up into an upper room, where abode both Peter, and James, and John, and Andrew, Philip, and Thomas, Bartholomew, and Matthew, James the son of Alphaeus, and Simon Zelotes, and Judas the brother of James.14 These all continued with one accord in prayer and supplication, with the women, and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with his brethren.” Acts 1:13-14
