NEW on CNN: A court filing from Epstein's estate says Kathy Ruemmler drafted a letter to ABC News before it killed a victim interview with Jeffrey Epstein — despite her saying she never represented or was paid by him. The filing also says the former Obama White House counsel, who is now Goldman Sachs chief lawyer advised on his plea deal, public statements, a senator’s inquiry, and victim settlements.The $22.5 million-a-year lawyer previously characterized her interactions with Epstein as occasional and limited, and that she only knew him as a "business referral source," for clients.But a court filing from his estate suggests something much more substantial from the attorney who once called reporting on Epstein's abuse "rehashed crap."
