QUESTIONS TO ASK OURSELVES?• Do I live in a nice home?• Am I able to take a hot shower? Do I have the strength to do it?• Do I sleep in a comfy bed? Can I sleep the whole night through?• Do I have warm clothes for cold days?• Do I have food in my cupboards? Fridge? Freezer?• Do I thank God for these and other things?I know that these are mere “creature comforts;” and pale in comparison to God’s gifts of eternal salvation (Rom. 6:23; Rom. 10:13), all spiritual blessings (Eph. 1:3), family and friends; but, at the same time, they still come from God, and we should be grateful for them!Ask yourself, “When is the last time that I thanked God for His basic provisions and the other “simple things” in my life?"In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you" - 1 Thessalonians 5:18.I will add: "Are you thankful for the health care you have access to?"

If you have a roof over your head, clothes on your back, and food in your stomach, you are wealthy beyond measure.
Everything else is gravy.
