Trump just announced another $7 billion in projects in Saudi Arabia, including hotels, golf courses, and luxury mansions, and it came not long after the Saudi crown prince visited the White House. At the same time, the U.S. is already sending large amounts of money to Venezuela, and the administration is picking fights or escalating tensions with Cuba, Canada, Greenland, Russia and Ukraine, and Somalia. That’s a lot of fronts, a lot of pressure, and a lot of taxpayer dollars moving around. So when people hear about billions more tied to the Middle East, under the Trump name, they’re not just thinking about real estate. They’re thinking about priorities, conflicts of interest, and who all of this is really serving. And for families at home struggling to keep up, it’s fair to ask how any of this is supposed to help them.
