"The Chinese Communist Party — a regime known for surveillance, political policing, intimidation of dissidents, and operating *police stations* abroad — wants closer ties with Canadian police under the banner of fighting fraud and *transnational crime.* "And this my friends, is how influence creeps in. "Information sharing. Joint initiatives. *Best practices.* "And suddenly a foreign authoritarian state has a seat closer to Canada’s justice system than it ever should. "If you think this is about stopping scam calls, you’re being sold a bedtime story. Authoritarian regimes don’t export policing to help other countries... they do it to extend reach, normalize presence, and blur lines.
