Peace In The ChaosIsaiah 26:3-4“Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee. Trust ye in the LORD for ever: for in the LORD JEHOVAH is everlasting strength:”The scene in Isaiah’s day was chaotic. Because of their own sin, primarily the worship of idols, the judgment of God had fell upon the people of God. But God promised peace to those who would trust Him.There have been times in my Christian life that I have set back and wondered, and even asked God what He was doing.I admit, I cannot always figure out what God is doing or why He is allowing something to happen. But, this I do know, I can trust Him. I find peace in the truth that “in the LORD JEHOVAH is everlasting strength”.The current news today portrays a society that has thrown out their moral compass and everyone is doing that which is right in their own eyes. Among all our current chaos I ask myself, what is God doing? Why is He allowing all this to take place? Is this part of the judgement of God on us a nation who has shook a fist in His face daring Him to do something in the midst of their arrogant rebellion against His holy law? Only God can give perfect peace in the midst of the chaos, but only to the one whose mind is stayed on Him.
