"THE PRAYERS WE UTTER" "Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered." (Romans 8:26)We've all been there before, haven't we? Plenty to pray about, but no words to describe them. Often, we find ourselves in times like that, ready to quit because we sense our Lord will not hear if we can't say what's buried in our souls. Our hearts are so crushed, and our heads are so clouded that all we can to do is simply cry out without saying a word and we wonder if God will hear our silent plea for help.Yes, God will hear when we stay there and wait there. Spurgeon said, "Let us draw near to the footstool of divine mercy in humble entreaty, and we shall realize the fulfillment of the promise, they that wait on the Lord shall renew their strength."Here's good news for those who are praying right now. On the authority of Romans 8:26, those prayers of ours, empowered with the groanings of the Holy Spirit, are the petitions He cannot refuse.Pray on then friends, just pray on with those petitions and pleas and know the peace and power of God in THE PRAYERS WE UTTER.
