GOD AND TIME — A DEVOTION FOR 2026
Ecclesiastes 3:17 - “I said in mine heart, God shall judge the righteous and the wicked: for there is a time there for every purpose and for every work.”
Time belongs to God—not man.
We measure it by clocks and calendars, but God rules it by purpose and judgment.
As 2026 begins, this truth must sober us: every season answers to God.
Nothing is random. Nothing is wasted. Nothing escapes His notice.
God has appointed a time for every purpose—including a time of evaluation.
The righteous will not always be overlooked.
The wicked will not always go unchecked.
Judgment may seem delayed, but it is never denied.
This verse reminds us that life is not just about passing time, but about how we live within the time God gives. Every work, every decision, every motive will be weighed by Him.
2026 is not merely a “new year.”
It is time entrusted—time to walk uprightly, serve faithfully, repent quickly, and obey fully.
Hard truth: If a man lives as though God does not judge, he will waste his time.
If a man lives knowing God will judge, he will redeem it.
So as the year turns, ask yourself honestly: Are you spending time—or stewarding it?
Because when God’s time meets God’s judgment, excuses will be silent.
2026 — Redeem the time. God is watching.
